Chris Harris made a similar comment in EVO magazine, but said that after 40 minutes of driving, he didn't care any longer because the car was that good.

Harris is one of my favorites, clearly the guy can drive too btw, but I always take journalists evaluations of something new from Porsche with a Titanic iceberg-sized grain of salt. You can't make it a habit to slam all of Porsche's efforts and expect to get first crack at their cars. Harris in particular is a purist who is so fanatical that he mortgaged his next three lifetimes to pay for the 997 GT3 4.0 with no special terms, all interest up front at 7% when the base rate is 000.000%
I'm sure in private he will tell you that the grandpa ride/Rohrl time sheet essence of these now longer than a Corvette (just put the engine the middle already) Carreras are making an undeniable turn in the direction of more Aston Martin less Steve McQueen.
