Maybe Jake R can comment on whether he thinks the frequent oil changes is beneficial
He already has, numerous times; as well as Charles Navarro. Search the various threads and you'll see he recommends it's one of the best things you can do for your engine, regardless of oil brand. I've been using Castrol Syntec 10W40 for the last few years and change it annually (approx 3k miles).
