the brake wear sensor is a simple circuit - a loop of wire. when the pads wear down to the sensor, the exposed wire gets worn-through and opens the circuit triggering the brake wear light. once the light comes on you can't reuse the sensor. if you unplug the sensor completely the computer sees an open circuit and puts the brake wear light on. your solution: new sensor or cut your sensor near the plug and twist together the two wires you find there. comupter will see a continuous circuit and turn off the light.

You mean to cut the end of the wire leading to the sensor wire or cut the end of the sensor wire where the plug is and solder it together. Do you have a photo of DYI?
