We were about a week, or so, early for the Bluebonnets!
We already have about a gazillion photos of them from living in Brenham for eight years!

RR2323 from Llano back to Fredericksburg had so many deer, I finally just slowed down, to make sure. Wifey stopped counting at 20. The 987 Bi-Zenon lights are great, but they can't see what's over a rise! 2nd close call sealed the deal on slowing down. It was right at dusk, so they were on the move.

BTW - We did 2861 miles on 112 gals of "ol' 93" ($436.00) and averaged 61 mph for trip. Gas was almost as much as the three nights we spent in two really nice B&Bs!

In the spirit of "no links" Google "Commanders Place at Nevels Ranch" and "Far View B&B - Brenham, TX"
Both were well worth the fare.
