I still can not change my Avatar. Can anyone else?
When I go to "edit Avatar" the only option is "Do not use an avatar"

Yup. I've got the same problem.
Also, can we get the quoting style changed? Usually on vBulletin when you're quoting someone else it places the quote inside a "box". This makes it much easier than what we're seeing here (which is just a bunch of text).

OK, I looked at the announcement and still don't get it. So are you saying that avatars are turned off except for a few people from the "old days" (and with over 100 posts)?

If that's the case, then why does forum member ntmatter, with a join date of March 2005 and with 25 posts, have one vs. my join date of Aug 2004 and 300 posts? Regardless, it's not very important to me. Just that the announcement is a little confusing.

But what's really important to me is seeing quoted text inside boxes which make it much easier to read (especially when the quotes are long). Here's an example:

right, I have a join date of Aug 2004 with over 100 post too...
I don't understand why you would want avatars turned off too....doesn't it give users a more friendly feel(rennlist and flat-6 lets all users have them why can't we)??? especially if you are trying to attract new users?
I also agree with the quoting thing, makes it much easier to read.

Issue with the quote box was it provided a security hole and formatting errors. By plugging the hole, we found that the fancy quote box function
produced a display of gibberish. We opted for simple functional
 display.

TQtran and Lux, if you want an avatar, submit it to me so I can see it.
 Thanks, Richard Kwei
