Just came back from the autoshow in Toronto.

Looked at all the convertibles, 370Z, Z4, Miata... all have similar trunk size to the Boxster!

But they all have no frunk!!!!!! That's the crazy part.

I don't know how people can live without the frunk.

Those Germans, they're damn good with their engineering.

Our frunk is definitely a plus, but at the same token, people with those cars don't have to open their tops halfway, fold the back of it up, remove the rear speaker enclosure, engine cover carpeting, and then the engine cover itself just to replace an air filter or top off power steering fluid. It's an exercise just to get to your engine!

Boxtaboy..... Not all of us can be as cool as you with a rear speakers

JK.. When the spring comes I may have to source out some rear speakers.

I don't have any junk in my frunk, just a weird VW tire thingy.

I was wondering how much easier it is to access the engine with a zeintop?

Well my car is unlike my girlfriend so I don't need access to the "engine" every day or multiple times a day... now the frunk is a different story...

All I have in mine is a hard to get open little compartment with a can of fix a flat and a rediculous little compressor. There is a cute little spot in it to put my wheel lock key.......

I call the other one the "runk."
I love to open the runk, with people watching, and decide what I'm carrying won't fit and go open the frunk to put it in.

I love it when I pull into the employee parking lot at work. Security asks if I even have a trunk. I open the rear one. They have no clue.

It's impossible to access the engine from above with the Zeintop on, unless you have previously removed the soft top (which I have done, and intend to do every winter), in which case the engine access is only a bit more difficult. Otherwise, the Zeintop must be completely removed for engine access, a 10-minute, 3-person job for removal and then again for re-installation.

That is kind of a bummer, I was hoping it would be easier with the zeintop. I am planning on taking my soft top out completely and keeping it as a coupe.

With the soft top removed, access on a Zeintopped car is identical to the Cayman, so it's fine; just not quite as easy as the Boxster.
