I own a 996 and I realize the 996 and Boxter share some of the same parts. I have a door lock which does not work. I can't lock the door with the key, and the remote stop working years ago. The lock works on the inside on the dash, but a lot of good that does to lock the door from the inside just to be lock out, some peace of mind I guess. When I insert the key to lock the door, it turns freely, from left to right, like something is broken or not catching. I was wondering if any one from what I've described could point me in the right direction as to what my problem is. Also, does anyone know of a DIY on this. thanks
