Temperature sensor for the on-board computer. OBC is supported by the car even if not enabled at the factory.

I was wondering the same thing when i took my bumper off. Mine was just dangling there. Is there s specific way it should sit?

mine slid through the ring, but didn't lock in. i pushed and pushed but it wouldn't snap into the ring. and it certainly wasn't secured in the ring when i took the bumper off so it doesn't seem to have a problem staying there without being held in place by anything other than gravity.

My neighbor noticed mine.
He is a Toyota engineer - really bugged him that something would be just hanging there. He figured it out and popped it back into place.
Is there any hack - to get it to actually do something?
