I looked at the axles and the tranny and saw no way of taking them apart?
What am I missing and how?

Well to go on with what I am doing whether it is wrong or right. Here is what I have been doing.
How I got the axle out. It actually came out very easy
Boxster left Cayman right
Drill bit needed (closest I could get to 10mm)
Axle in vice drilled out to 10.3mm

Stub axles are held in by a snap ring and simply press out by placing a flat piece of stock behind the flange and thread a bolt into the bolt hole. In my opinion, a much better way of fixing the issue without drilling the CV joint.

I did try to pop them out with no luck. I didn't want to break them so I just figures they were stuck In there. Either way I already drilled out the other axles and I located the correct bolts and all should be good now. I wish I knew that they popped out though. Thanks.
