I sat in and drove one almost two weeks ago. And I must say it was is must shorter and smoother shirf. Exhaust (on the S) sounds great at idle
but even better let lose.
I personally like the new interior better than the 986. The 987 has that classic "Porsche look" to it. The rear sub looks and sounds great. The new button layout takes time to get use to but is easier to use. Took me some time to find the roof button....oh my, its by the hand break on the side. Location of the cup holders is nice/out of the way, and the glove box is a good addition.
