Good question, how DID it get damaged. Fortunately nothing else is broken. What search on ebay has these as I may be in the market for a new one on the passenger side. Not a problem to replace and it made me feel I accomplished something as I did not break anything. Remember, Murphy wrote his law after he watched me work on a car....
