Your missing the rear strut brace? It was never factory installed, it's an aftermarketr piece. So it can't be missing, it was just never installed.

From your parts list, seems you want to add Carbon look pieces to the exterior. It should look fine. I've seen other dark colored cars (ie...Black) with Carbon and it blends in fine. As long as the Dbl weave fabric is layed properly, and with help from some sunlight, you'll be able to achieve the look you're after.

Ah I did not know the strut brace was an aftermarket piece, you can see the whole engine from the underside of the car and I thought there would be a flat underbody or at least something there to keep the engine inside.

And yes, you are right, I just want to add to the cosmetic look. Honestly the 986 box doesn't give off the sporty feel that the 987, or similar cars in the class tend to give off, so I'm trying to help it along some.

Start with painting your bumperettes to match your car...lots of pics on this board.
Your local body shop or bumperplugs.com for less than $300 you will have a nice fresh look to the rear, at least. My car is black and even if no one else notices, I think my newly painted bumperettes instantly upgraded the '01.

I know it's that itch that you want to do something to refresh the look of the car.

But IMO Carbon Fibre stuff these days is soooo out of style, that unless you have a F430 Scudaeria or something that came with it from the factory it looks really tacky. I'd do the bumperettes as greesedc suggested.
