Ticking sound

Q98 Registered User Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: ct Posts: 5	Ticking sound I have a '98 Boxster with 94,000 miles and lately the slight ticking sound from the engine compartment as become increasingly more noticable(louder). Is there anything that I can do to lessen the sound besides bringing it in to my mechanic? As recommended by Porsche I do use synthetic mobil one for my oil changes.
