Just installed new pads and rotors, but..

When I first drove it from the shop i noticed i had to step on the pedal really hard to get some stopping power..? Is this normal right after the new pads/rotors? It was new pagid pads in the front and front rotors, rear was fine and they did bleed the brakes. It started getting better on way home after i did "embedding" procedure but still im thinking a porsche should have a touchier pedal than that after new pads and rotors??
