No set screw on 04 S shift knob?

Hello-
I am removing my center console on my 04 S, and before I can do so I need to remove my shift knob. The Bentley manual says the base model cars have the shift knob pressed on, but all other models have a set screw (allen screw). I don't see a set screw on mine, so is it safe to just pull it off?

Thanks.

The shifter on the 04 S doesn't have a set screw either. The bently is wrong. It's just a friction fit. You literally just have to yank it off the shaft. That's what I had to do when I changed mine.

Top down, One foot on each side of the console. Look straight up while pulling the shift knob straight up! If you look down, you might hit the back of your head on the windshield, window frame or rear view mirror when the shift knob unexpectedly breaks free.
