As of 2000 the drivers side vent sticks out a bit more. It is the intake vent. This was done to reduce the chance of water getting sucked in.

The bottom of the B is known to break because it get caught when washing. Easy to replace or some people just leave it off.

2000 is the first year for the 3.2 S and the base 2.5 went to 2.7. I would go for the S if I was in the market.
