OBD II Question

Looking at a 2002 S tomorrow to buy. Would like to run a DTC code scan prior to purchase but don not know where the OBD II port is located. Can anyone help?

Below the ignition roughly, at least that's the loco on a 1998, a PPI would be better, OBD2 isn't going to say anything about the RMS.

+1 The issues with these cars are more often mechanical or physical than electronic.

Also, there are so many proprietary Porsche codes readable only with a PST2 or Durametric software, that a simple OBDII scan will give an incomplete picture at best. Certainly not enough for me to give a prospective car a Yay or Nay on such a scan alone.

Ideally, a proper PPI and a PST2 scan by a Porsche qualified mechanic would be the way to go.
