Hi 911sc,
If you want to lower it and put spacers on, I would take it to a workshop where they can advise you properly. You will need to make sure that you are not going to foul the wheel arches when the front wheels are turned.
I would say that 18mm is almost too much on the back, but at the front they are OK.

Has anyone else had their car lowered and had spacers put on?
