Small "Oops" - Need to Remove Velcro From Dash

Hello Everyone,

The title says it all: I need some suggestions for removing a strip of velcro I put on my dash. I initially bought some velcro strips from the hardware store to mount my radar detector on the dash instead of the windshield due to suction cup failure. I don't need/use the detector much anymore and would like to remove this stuff.

However, I am not sure how to do it or how to safely approach this without screwing up my dash. Got any advice/tips for this removal? (pics below)
