One last comment on the subject, the new RS production limited edition celebrates the connection of the Boxster to the 550 spyder. Many debate whether the cars have a true union, despite the fact that the company that built both models says they do. The 550's were not powerful engined rockets, they were balanced track scathing ballerinas, beating many cars with higher horsepower. The 550 was one of the companies most successful racers. Excellence had a great article recently for those interested. Back to the 944 for a moment, the 924, even more maligned, came is a little package known as the 924 carerra GT. In an article of favorite cars from years past, many professional Porsche drivers chose the 924 GT as their favorite. As Mr. T might say, I pity the fool who doesn't recognize the signature boxed rockers, hood scoop and what it means, 210 HP puts it right in Boxsterland and the handling is superb. As the other guy said, to each his own, the 350Z is no slouch car to be sure.
