First Oil Change Question

On most other cars I own, the break-in period is 1,000 miles. After I complete the break-in, I change the oil and then use the recommended intervals.

Since the Boxster break-in is 2,000 miles, I'm thinking I will wait 2,000 miles to perform the first oil change (when the break-in is complete). Any thoughts on this?

Of course once the break-in is done, I'll go with 7500 miles/once a year oil changes.

Sounds logical to me. I didn't have the opportunity to worry about my break-in since I bought my S used with a few more than 2k miles....

Best of luck, the car looks great!

Baseball, I agree with you, and did the exact thing with my car. I did the first oil change at about 1,200 miles.

I have done this with every new car I have ever owned.
