Nick,
I know how you feel. I couldn't drive my Boxster for 7 weeks because of surgery on my right shoulder. It was almost torture seeing it just sitting there in the garage every day. Once back in the driver's seat it felt like I was driving it for the first time and I realized, again, just how much I love driving this car.
I can barely raise my arm up over my head but I can shift. My shift from 4th to 5th is still a little slow, but who cares! I consider shifting part of my physical therapy.

Regards,
mike
