I'm actually about to install a new set of Zimmerman cross drilled rotors all around on the S, along with Pagid Blue RS4-2-1 pads. These pads should give a little better stopping power than stock while still being gentle on rotors while cold.

I've seen solid non-drilled rotors on some sites, even for S models. I don't know that I'd go backwards on the S, but I would think that for normal street use that solid rotors would be fine on a base model.

Looks like a bit over 800 bucks for parts alone. I think I'll be doing the labor myself... brakes just aren't difficult. Besides, I have a giant stockpile of Ate brake fluid for my track car.
