What makes you think they aren't as stong as they should be? How many miles on the pads? rotors? how old is the brake fluid?

"best" is somewhat subjective.. but more importantly, how will you be using the brakes? High speed track events? commuting? There are lots of compromises made to make an OEM brake system, but Porsches have great brakes to begin with. Improving them may not be that easy.

Also realize that TIRES can make as big (or bigger) an impact on your braking since they are the only element of the car that touches the road. When I went from street tires to my R comp tires for Autocross, I noticed much improved braking performance in that the ABS wasn't triggered as early or frequently under heavy braking.
