Being from Canada, we see a big difference in resale value between winter driven and winter stored cars. This is true mainly for sports cars (summer cars). The resale value simply hits a minimum value and never drops below it. So if you buy around that value, you can resell it for basically the same price a few years down the road. For base model boxsters that value is around 20K$(CAN$), you won't find many accident free base model boxsters that have been stored for below that value in Canada.
