Guys

It appears that their fix pertains to the oil leak part of the problem. Oil leaks are one thing, that can be fixed (may not be cheap, but can be fixed). IMS failure will leave you a very heavy paperweight of an engine. It is my understanding that the previous (before 01) ran on a double bearing, and almost none of these fail. The 01 and newer run in a single bearing, and these are the motors that may fail. Last I knew there really was no cure for this, but it does seem that the motors that are predisposed to failure do so relatively early in life.
