Exactly, DJ! I think it is great that the car gets driven. I mean, face it: Porsche builds excellent handling cars. If $$ isn't an object, I'd consider them a good car for people to learn on -- I've heard they also come with an auto (Shhh! j/k). The only stigma for "younger" people driving these cars is that the Porsches often accelerate better than your average car and also have higher top speeds (than your average car). It's up to the attitude of the kid driving whether it is a good choice. IF it were me, I'd rather my youngin' drive a Box than a Mustang GT (may be cheaper, probably as fast if not faster than the auto Box, poor-er handling).

Funny thing is... no. The truck parked in the first shot was doing some maintenance in the parking lot, but wasn't around, so voila, driving practice and mini AX!

Oddly enough, I have a friend who has offered to let my boys learn to shift on one of his collector cars...a mint condition 1965 Mustang GT convertible (not a clone either) 4 speed. Go figure. He is dead serious! As a side note, he and I have swapped cars (Ferraris/Mercedes/Porsches...you name it) for the last 23 years. He is the only one who drives my cars and vice versa. A good friend indeed! We both have very good insurance coverage.
