Right now, I live in a rural middle of nowhere area. I would love to have a manual box. However - I came from the suburbs and will probably be returning to traffic jams in the near future. As a result, I happily bought a tippy-box.
I do not know how many of you drive your cars in high traffic areas, but it is incredibly irritating to have a std. transmission in crowded areas!

From looking over CL and Autotrader it seems like Tips hold value better than manuals generally.
I think this is because most boxsters are getting more miles now and generally the automatics are being purchased by people who don't care too much about total performance, but want a nice cruising car at a good price. Buying a used manual can be more risky if the car has been driven hard IMHO.
