rear spoiler

When my rear spoiler engages shouldn't I see something on my dash telling me. I know for a fact that my spolier did engaged. What could be wrong?

I don't think there is spoiler engage light on the dash and I would like to have that indicator. Can't never tell for sure if spoiler is on or not.

I do not believe you should see anything on the dash when it raises automatically while driving....you will see this at start up, when the system runs its check of things or if there is a problem.

I believe it is the opposite of what you're expecting. The dash light comes on if the spoiler has not properly raised.

There are hacks that you can do that will give you an indicator light when the spoiler raises seperate from the dash light.

Yes. he is right. It does not light up when in regular use. It will however show up on your error lights if it gets stuck or becomes non functional.

My local Porsche Geru made a indicator light for me and placed it in on of my blank switches on my dash. After a few years we replaced it with the switch for my fog lights. After the novelty wore off I never even noticed the light.

So in other words, it can be done. He got the directions from a 996 board.

Growing up the car magazines said how amazing Porsches are. Was I brainwashed? Somehow...I doubt it.
