Unhappy Front end linkage noise

I recently purchased a 2002 boxster with 49K miles - the car runs perfect, but after driving for roughly 30 minutes or longer a creaking sound develops in the front end of the car at lower speeds. It seems to be coming from the steering linkage. Has anyone come across this problem?

Been there/figured it out. There is a bolt that the lower control arms pivots on. I must have gotten some sand or something it somehow. I was going to take it all apart and the one bolt that was squeeking, when I turned it, I felt the whole thing loosen up and I have not had a problem since then, about a year and a half. I think it just gets bound up somehow. I broke it loose and all was good. I hope this helps.. This might not even be what you are up against. Good luck.
