Well I looked at the inside of my new headlights and decided that things were waaay too close together in there for my unsteady hands. I will just live with the amber inside for now. It is way too risky like you say 986spyder. Thanks. Isn't there an easier way to do this without a soldering iron?

Mine look the same way. I don't know of any other way other than covering them up as sugested earlier. You could paint over them with the silver matching trim color or tint that section with black.

Glad the guards red cars look better with the ambers... That's a lot of bucks and effort. It is true that some color cars do look better de-ambered!
