painted bumperettes make the rear look so much better. The rolloff isn't broken up with 2 ugly black pieces of rubber.

Well, IMO, I think it depends upon the color of the car, and of course, personal choice. The Boxster's rear is pretty big, and in most colors, the painted bumperettes magnify this.

I quite like the black bumperettes on my Guards Red car. I think it breaks up the monochromatic look, and a break in color looks good - Black/Red is a classic combination.

Then again, I think Guards Red bumperettes would look good as well.

That's why, when I saw a pair of perfect bumperettes on Craig List for $20, I jumped on them.

I'll have these body color painted and whenever I feel like changing the look, I'll take 5 min. and swap them - the best of both worlds.

I think once you switch to the painted bumperettes, you'll never go back. They really smooth out the rear end.

I painted my bumperettes black to match the car and it made a noticeable difference to me in modernizing the exterior of the car.

Growing up the car magazines said how amazing Porsches are. Was I brainwashed? Somehow...I doubt it.

Mine are now painted

Here's the before shot:

This picture was take with flash, so the bumperettes look darker and shinier than they did in person. One of the reasons I decided to paint them was that they looked oxidized.

Here's the after:

I think the back of the car looks cleaner with the painted bumperettes.

If anyone in the Richmond area needs some Arctic Silver paint, let me know.
