That took a small leap of logic on your part to fill in the blanks and come to that conclusion, but I can see how that could be assumed. Let me clarify:

1. If you're going to paint your calipers, white would be cooler than red.
2. Painted calipers are a pain to keep clean, I've discovered.

If he leaves 'em black (or just bare metal like on most cars) he doesn't have to care about cleaning the calipers. But, if he's going to do it, I say he might as well go with white calipers with "PORSCHE" on them. That'd look hot.
Although I think the lettering should be in black, not red.

i see what youre saying,
i still think red would look nice on red, with colored centercaps.
but the car looks very nice either way, we can agree on that hehe
