1124 & 1126/MAF

I'm throwing the (apparently) somewhat common 1124 and 1126 codes, and a third which I can't remember, which I believe is the gas cap *gr*.

Anyway, I've read just about everything I can find about the 1124/1126 issue, and it seems like there are two common solutions: new MAF, or theres a vaccuum leak someplace.

I started taking a look at MAF's and am just a little confused. I'm looking for an Air Flow Mass Sensor, and not the Air Flow Mass Meter, correct? This is all assuming that it IS the MAF in the first place.

Also, I believe I read that some people have tried just cleaning the MAF itself before bothering to replace it?

I have to get the car inspected next month, and since I don't think I can reset the code and have it stay off long enough to get it inspected and clear, I think I need to take care of this soon.

Any help is appreciated
