Hardtop

I want a top in this color, is it still available? I am in Boise ID, 14 hr drive. What are spinlocks? I thought the 986 top does not need any installation hardware. Please let me know.

Spinlocks are a small part that is inserted behind the door to secure the hard top. They may already be installed in your car, but they were not standard equipment.

If you haven't had a reply from Josh yet, call the number that he provided in the first post. He probably doesn't check the forum daily.

Thank you so much for pointing these resources out to me. I copied the links and will use many of the project suggestions in the future.

I didn't remember that I need this hardware for the 986 as well. I have a set for the 987 hardtop that I will sell now but not for the 986. I think I remember the difference between the hardware installation for the 986 and the 987 is, that the 987 requires uninstalling, reinstalling and retiming the soft top. I suppose the hardware is needed for either model.
