In answer to dghii's question, the three trim strips are held in place by several screws (gross overkill on Porsche's part!), which are all but impossible to remove from inside the dash. If you do a search in this forum for "dash trim strips" you will find some suggestions for how to remove the strips. When I wanted to install alum-look ones, I decided to destroy the original black ones...I Dremeled around the ends of the screws until I could pry off the pieces. I then simply used some clear silicone to attach the new pieces.

I have a question for Matthew...are these pieces Slate Grey or Seal Grey? I didn't think that Slate Grey was a 986 color...I always believed that Slate Grey supplanted Seal Grey for the 987s.
