I am sure it will be a fantastic car. But, 3400-3600lbs is a LOT of car. I am a fan of "adding lightness" and pretty much since the late 1980s have been disappointed about the increase in car weights overall.
I remember when a 3000lb 928 was "heavy". Now a base 911 is that much and the 997TT is closer to 3300lbs. Sure it has a lot of technology and advancements that 20 years ago was a pipe dream but still, weight is the enemy!  |
