Bringing back another thread from past. I am in a bit of a pickle. I've posted about my issues with Variocam actuator on bank 1, I finally got it out and the plunger was stuck on some of the O ring bits I assume from the main plunger. I can't seem to find a way to disassemble the main plunger part, so I've cleaned and reassemble it and I'll just send it. The problem now is that I have the cams back in, but I've come to realise I am at TDC on the EXHAUST stroke (yes, I am a dumbass for not verifying before I took it apart) so I believe my bank 1 cams are out 180 degrees. I tried putting them in the correct way but the cam lobes are very tight against the lifters (or whatever the discs are called) and I fear the camshaft may snap if I force it. If I remove the cams from bank1, can I rotate the engine 360 so I'm on the right stroke? Will it throw all of the lifters out, or should I just remove them and then rotate it?
