Hello, I have a '98 Boxster and the clutch pedal has always made a creaking sound when you depress it. I assumed it was the clutch spring as they have been known to make noises. Well, I just removed my clutch spring and it still makes the creaking noise (but I can't tell exactly where it is coming from).
- Does anyone know the next place I should look for the creaking noise coming from the clutch pedal?
- I bought a replacement clutch spring but it is the new design with the "captive pin" (see the picture). Can I use this with my current clutch pedal or is there an upgraded bracket? I believe this may have been redesigned over time.
