I think he meant if it breaks-off and there's nothing to grab ahold of. But even then: I'm very famous for welding studs to broken-off studs...... and that kills the red loctite in a hurry too.
I don;t think there's any problem using red. I don't know that it's necessary.... but can't see any harm.
I once tried to safety-wire lug-nuts with a braided run from nut to nut. If I took about an hour per wheel on them, they were beautiful......
yeah..... did that once, on one wheel. hahahaha
