Thought I share some pic's of my faded engine cover carpet.
I have black engine cover carpet that was faded from the sun.
It had turned silver from the exposure. Brushing the carpet with you hand would produce fine silver carpet dust particles..
Vacuumed it well before painting.
I used Dupli-Color Vinyl & Fabric paint to fix my faded carpet. (AutoZone)
