I've got 7mm spacers with 10X18" rims on the rear and 285/40/18 Nitto Nt01 tires. That's about all that will fit, and yes, with the car lowered, I do have to be choosy about the roads I travel and especially the driveways I enter. The biggest issue is scraping the nose. The rough ride is a close second.
The RoW M030 kit will lower your car significantly, but it's not going to put the fenders down over the tires like that Cayman. To get that low, you will need at least coilovers and rear toe links. The toe links will keep the car from having a pigeon-toed alignment, but at that ride height, no matter what, you will get lots of negative camber. This looks nice and makes the rear end hook up very well in fast corners, but in street driving (particularly highway) the car will eat the inside edges of the rear tires.
