I don't believe there's a difference in tops. The only specifics I know of depends on the generation (986/987) as to what will fit on what. To my knowledge, a 986 hardtop will fit any 986 from 97-04. I think the person just wrote that because it came off of an S.
If I'm wrong and anyone can correct, please do.
Aside from that, I'm
really hoping the seller didn't lean the top up against that brick wall as it appears they may have in the third picture they have posted.
