The noise may be coming from the pivot point where the slave contacts the throwout fork. If that is the case, you need to pull the slave and lightly lube the fork end with a small amount of high temp grease (usually made for brake applications). If that does not cure it, the fork may be going, which requires pulling the gearbox to gain access..............
