I have a 2001 Boxster with a CR-220 radio with a cd-changer. AUX was and still is enabled. I called the manufacture PIE and they told me that this connecter does not allow audi thru the ipod connector, that it lacks resistors. The ipod connector does charge the iphone, just doesn't play audio thru it.

Any information you can pass along will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have the ipod dock cable only and it works both for charging and audio. I don't have an iPhone but my iPod video works great.]
