Also, I believe Diamler is extracting itself from its 30+% ownership (control) of Mitsubishi motors (Mitsubishi is another one of those companies that does just about everything from Banking to heavy equipment)

I would think it fairly safe to think that in the next 10-20 years there will only be 6 or so automakers (unless the Chinese explode and buy everyone out
) with various "brands" or "images" being marketed worldwide and 3 of them will own "half" the markets available.
