This video proves nothing. You could put a selection of same age mileage 996 on the same dyno and you would get a variety of readings. Comparing them to the book rated power has little relevance as you just don't know what any of those engines out out when they rolled out the showroom.

If they had done a test at brand new in controlled conditions then done the same test in the same conditions and calibrated dyno 243k later then it would have more relevance. But as it is it downs not prove that this particular car has lost nothing.

It's funny you say this, I saw another video after I posted this one again testing a 996, this time with way less miles, to see the "hp" loss in that example the car had lost about 30 hp from factory specs (which the owner assumed to being caused by the previous owners reserved driving style.)
