I used the Brexit to my advantage and bought a replacement block in the UK. It turns out it is cheaper to buy salvage parts in the UK than in the Netherlands, Germany or Belgium.

It has probably something to do that UK cars are worth much less in the rest of Europe because their steering wheel is on the wrong/right side . The 'market' for RHD cars is much smaller than LHD cars and that makes the cars (and also the parts) a lot cheaper...

Now the £ has dropped considerably compared to the € it became even more interesting to buy an engine in the UK.

The replacement engine arrived today.

I'm going to clean as much as possible, but some things I will replace (AOS).

Hopefully I will be driving the Boxster again in August!

I'll keep you posted.
