New user here. Slight forum problem...

Looks like a nice place y'all have here. I just got a new-to-me Boxster and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. This looks like a nice place to hang out and find information about the car.

One question though: why are threads upside down? I'm a forum junkie and this is the first forum I've come across where I cannot make the settings put the oldest post in the thread at the top, so I start at the top and work my way down. I've had to scroll down and work up, which feels awkward and unnatural.

Any advice is appreciated. Excellent forum nonetheless!

Hey Groovie,

If you've been lurking for any time at all, you would know that we have the answer to your question, but we won't tell you until you post pics of your ride.

Just kidding. I had the same problem. Look under quick links for edit options. Scroll down though the options until you find Thread Display Mode and choose linear - oldest first.

Welcome aboard and get some pics up ASAP.

Perfecto-Mundo! Can't believe I missed that option.

It's a beautiful day, so I'll be getting pics up later!

I too also had this problem and had to go into settings and change this. Maybe somebody should just switch it so its this way to begin with?

It is because we drive German cars so this forum is based on the metric system, so it is backwards...

Grizzly, I'm new to the site too and can't figure out how to post pictures of my Boxster. Do you have to wait until you post 100 times?!

Tom,

You can post pictures anytime. There are two ways to do it. You can post them as attachments, by using the "manage attachments" button under "Additional Options" below the reply field, or you can post your photos at a free hosting site (I use Photobucket) and then copy and paste the IMG code in your text.

I'm not a computer guy, so I hope that made sense. If not, maybe one of the IT gurus here can step in and save me.

I know this is very late, but just to continue what Grizzly already started. vBulletin aka vB (the forum software) has some easy to use quick codes for you to insert extras such as images, code, links, quotes, right above this message box. If you want to insert an image you can use the icon that looks like a mountain with the yellow background. You can also type out the img code

example

or you can simply copy and paste the link like Grizzly suggested. Also the way the forum layout is setup by default is how most of the popular forum software's such as vB, ipb (renntech.org), phpbb are designed. I'm used to this setup, and feel other layouts feel awkward.

My only suggestion would be to add the multiple quote option, so we could easily quote more then 1 person's reply within your reply.
