I agree about the black /silver center caps! I clicked link but said NOT compatible with 2001 Boxster. Has anyone ordered a set? I'll dig through ebay some more. I'm def going to try and go with a set as long as it's not $200

Suncoast Porsche Parts & Accessories Wheel Set - 19" Sport Classic

Name is a bit confusing. Suncoast says `19" Sport Classic' but elsewhere I see `19" Carrera Classic".

Not sure if you tried this or not ... I did something similar with some wheels on a test paint, and rather than trying to get the tape to match the curve, I just laid the tape down over the curve, then used a razor blade to cut the tape in the arc I needed, using the curve to help guide.

Thanks Ianacole, that's a good idea...maybe I'll toy with that sometime

Looks really unique
Black center caps, and maybe black nut covers, like Fuchs offers them for their wheels?
As I like b/w pictures, too, here my Fuchs wheels shopped in Black

Another way is to use RC Modelers liquid mask. Paints on and can be trimmed with blade and then peels off.

I liked the way this thread was going and was inspired to try my hand. I grew up loving the fuchs alloys of the 80s and was ecstatic that my 944 had them. I decided to try modifying my boxster rims to resemble the fuchs. This was a quick freehand mock up using tape and plasti-dip my daughter and I did yesterday.

Wow!! That looks so much better! I never liked those wheels. But you've given them a new look. Great job!

If you start hanging around sites with a lot of water cooled 911s you may find the 19" Sport Classic wheels in post #22. The only problem is that they are usually quite expensive. IIRC, there was a pretty good deal last year when Suncoast cleared them out, but prices have now rebounded due to availability. With a good set of Michelin tires, they may be almost as expensive as a cheap 986!

Good luck!
